At the start homeopath, Dr Jana Mostert, will undertake a full medical assessment and then you will begin a three day detox where your calorie intake is not restricted, but you are given an eating plan that includes healthy fresh food – fish, vegetables and fruit for example – and excludes all forms of junk food, refined foods, carbohydrates and unhealthy fats and oils.
After that you will work with nutritionist and sports therapist Bonny Swanepoel, progressing to an individualised, monitored eating plan.
You learn to eat according to specific principles and to your calorific needs, whether you are an active sports person, or spend long hard hours behind your desk. Portion control and eating the correct foods in the right ratio plays a big role in your weight loss, as does a weekly visit to Wellness on 4th for a weigh-in.
This low carbohydrate programme encourages a moderate weight loss and with your newly learned eating patterns becomes a life-long habit that keeps you healthy and helps keep the weight off.
In further consultations with Bonny your eating plan and your weight loss progress will be monitored, and you will be encouraged to begin a cardio exercise programme that she will design to suite your specific needs.
